Please assist the Bolingbrook Park District for a chance to win $25,000 for Century Park. Effective today, you can help by logging on to www.StaplesDreamPark.com/Bears and casting a vote for Century Park. You are able to vote once a day. The initial visit will take a minute or two to register, yet following visits will take just seconds.
Here is more about Staples Dream Park Challenge.
Bolingbrook Park District applied for and was selected as one of 15 Chicagoland communities to participate in the Staples Dream Park Challenge. This contest, sponsored by Staples and the Chicago Bears, was created “to give communities the opportunity to win much needed funds to improve their parks and create safe, fun places for families and children to gather”.
Century Park, located at the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Kings Road, was selected because it is largely undeveloped. The 18 acre park’s sole active element is a playground. During the challenge, 15 parks including Century Park will compete for a chance to win the grand prize of $25,000 and a winner’s celebration featuring Bears’ star Adewale Ogunleye at Soldier Field. Additional prizes include $10,000 and $5,000 for first and second place runner-ups. The remaining 12 parks will receive $500 for participation. If successful, the cash prize will be used to carry out part of Century Parks’ master plan, installation of baseball backstops and football and soccer goals.
The contest is simple, from September 16 through November 17, individuals can vote once a day for Century Park by visiting www.StaplesDreamPark.com/Bears . In addition, free one time use “power cards” are available at Staples stores which causes a vote to count 10 extra times. Voters are entered to win a chance to meet Ogunleye at the winners’ celebration later this year.
